Both Israel and Germany claim innovation, experimentation and communal living in renewable energy as typically “Israeli” or typically “German”. Be that Israel as “startup nation” and with a long history of kibbutzim (more recently even startup kibbutzim!) and Germany with its “Energiewende” and ecovillages. We will be discussing different perspectives on energy transitions, both from a practitioners and academic viewpoint.
