On the other hand, the city is also well known its serious air pollution problem due to the traffic pollution and use of fossil fuels (around %75 natural gas, coal 25%) for residential heating purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Its relatively harsh continental climate and increasing summer temperatures result in high energy bills and increased GHG emissions as well. One of the important environmental law instruments, the national bylaw on energy performance of buildings entered into force which obligates building energy certificate (ID) for new buildings and the existing ones by 2011 and 2020 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>This multi-stakeholder workshop organised by our project partner METU will explore the enforcement and deployment of energy efficient building policies in different spheres, in light of past and current experiences of stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-2 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"background-color: #ffffff;background-position: center center;background-repeat:
